Matariki

Hi guys 

today I am going to tell you when matariki comes out and how people celebrate Matariki and what it means

Matariki is the 7 sisters they come out in late may or early June that means it is the Maori new year and the sign of a new season to winter matariki is celebrated through education remembrance and the planting of new trees and crops.

The mysterious stones of Tonga

I choose this book because it was easy to find facts about so enjoy the side show's

The mysterious stones of Tonga

Near a small village in Tonga there are three large stones. Two are standing up. And the third stone lies across the top of the two stone and i am going to give facts about it

Who built it 

Because the stones are so big some people believe that the ha’amonga was buit by maui. Only god could do work of this size they say.

Why was it built 

Some people think it was for the king’s daughter and his two son’s. The to stones that are standing up are his son’s and the one that is lying on the two stones is his daughter

How did they built

People cut big blocks of stone from the coast. Then hundreds of people dragged the stone to the building site using strong ropes. they dug two huge holds for the side stones. Once the side Stones were in place they used earth to make a ramp. then they dragged the lintel stone  up the ramp on to another side stones. After that they took away the earth ramp.

Hi today I am going to give facts about 

Polar bears where they live,what they

Eat,what they look like and dangers.

What do polar bears eat???

This is how they get their food, they wait near a ice hole and when the seal comes up to breath BOOM the Polar bear smash them with its paw! Polar bears also eat seals, fish, and  Beluga whales.

Where do Polar bears live?

Some polar bears live in the cold Arctic and the North pole and their is snow every where. Some Polar bears live in Canada. They also build dens to keep them warm.

What puts them in Danger?

At times adult male polar bears  kill young cubs. Some humans hunt them and some storms kill them for money, and when the ice melts they are going to be in danger because they live in the ice. 

What do Polar bears look like?

Polar bears does not have white fur because of seal oil and they are 3 meters tall. They have black skin under their transparent fur and they are excellent swimmers 

And if I met a polar bear I would be happy and then I will play with the snow
