Matariki

 

hey bloggers this week book choice was about matariki and my favorite create task was the word search because it was hard finding the words and here it is.

what this one was about: this create task was to do a summary of the two videos and the sites.

what this create task was about: to do a glossary and type it up on a google doc.


Matariki-maori new year.


Whetu - star.


Stars- seven stars.


Korero- a conversion.


Kai- food.


food-Any nutritious substance that people and animals eat or drink or that plants absorb in order to maintain life and growth.


Land- the part of earth.


Whenua- New zealand land.


Family- A group of people that has kids and two parents.


Whanau- an extended family or community of related families who lived together.


event - party.


Constellation-stars.


Harvest -Farming.


June - month of matariki.


Maori New Year-matariki.


Reflection-looking back to something.


celebration-having a family reunion.


future-what's in front of you.


past-what's behind you.


presents-what's happening right now.


storehouse-what is stored inside the storehouse.


spirits-somebody watching you.

calendar-keeping track on time.


Lunar-new moon.


Waiti-sweet.


maramataka-Maori lunar calendar.


pipiri-first lunar month of the year.


what this create task was about: this create task was about doing a word search and finding the words and it was about the matariki stuff.

    I like how you wrote what the words mean and there is quite a lot of info on the first create task but next time maybe you can add a little more info on the 4th box.

    I liked how you wrote a lot in the bottom of create task 1 and explained a lot of stuff that we learnt. I also like how you have the WALT
